It’s that time of year again for me. Getting ready for the Yellow Pollen Festival down here in Hampton, Ga. So I’ve been busy creating inventory for my shop. March 17th is the day and I can’t wait. I’m anxious and yet excited. I’ve had pretty good experience the last two times I’ve gone. This year, I may be by myself, but I’m still going and I know I’ll have a good time.
I’m busy boosting my inventory with key fobs, bracelets, mini bags, rings and other handmade, leather items. I hope y’all have the time to come out and check the event! I’ll be signing and selling my paperback books as well, giving away book swag to go with them!
I just found out that this movie is TWENTY YEARS OLD TODAY!
I’m so not feeling it. To have to admit my age is really getting up there. I saw this movie in the theater. I remember scenes from it. It wasn’t a flick I could watch repeatedly, but one I will always recall. A horrible reminder of the fact that my birthday is around the corner. I’m rambling now, time for bed.
This was a first for me. Hopefully also the last.
I locked my son and I out of my car. WITH THE MOTOR RUNNING,😅
This actually makes it the second time I’ve locked my keys in the car, but the first time with the motor going. It was a good thing I had filled the tank two days prior. Was at the post office to ship something off and fussing at my son while trying to figure out what to do for dinner 🥘. My son slammed his door shut and looked in and said
” Well, this time I locked the door, but I don’t know what all those lights mean.”
I sighed, frustrated and peered into the car and saw what he was talking about and froze. My hand went to my chain and felt nothing but pocket. I tried my door and it was already locked. I looked through the window at Ethan and he shook his head, “Betcha wish I forgot to lock the door today, huh?”
I reached into my back pocket and was releaved to find my phone recalling how close I was to leaving it at home.
Daddy to the rescue. Not his daddy, mine.
It’s been 8 years since the first time I locked myself out the car. NEVER AGAIN!
My birthday is around the corner which means so is that dreaded tag and emissions payment. I’m always remembering last minute, but at least I remember! Not looking forward to it as it’s always a hassle and it takes away from my birthday week. But on the same note I will be busy creating new accessories for the Yellow Pollen Festival that will be happening soon after my birthday! I’m excited about that, I had fun at the last two I’ve participated in.
I got inspired and have been working with this concept. It’s coming around…
As I said, a work in progress as ideas keep coming and changing
I’ve been thinking a lot about Wonderlost and have come up with ideas for a re-do for its cover as well as the cover for the second book – Reunions. It’s still a work in progress but it has inspired a lot of sketching. 😁👍
Navy blue leather cuff. My first attempt at this new braiding technique.
Metal on leather, I loved how this came out and I’m currently attempting to do more.
Brass and stones. All abstract, all under 20$. To be posted soon.
This one may not make it. I’m really digging the way it came out. 😁
Made this last night. I’m going to make more of these, different colors of course..
Make sure you stop and have a peek at my work! AntoinettesOriginals
