I’m currently working on revamping my site. There might be a story to post every week, there might not. I’m discussing it with other Author buddies. Taking my time to figure this out. I know I enjoy having my stories read(it’s really great). Getting paid for them is fantastic, but not the reason I started writing. I love holding the finalized copies of my work. Will the excitement be the same if I post my ideas straight to the web? I’m still pretty much a Luddite when it comes to this stuff, but we’ll see. 😊
Yes. I’m sorry. I’m not making progress as I have in the past. But I’m still writing and learning how to better my stories. Going to try some new things – like a serial (?). Maybe. Smaller bites seem to be the way things are going rather than a large meal. So the plan is to submit a story that’s to be broken into maybe four or five smallest portions. Cliffhangers (?), maybe. Maybe not. The Amulet first, then the final Red Summer Book. Not going to do too much until The Amulet is complete, then it’s time to investigate this new publishing platform.
Doing Onyxcon at Southwest Art Center in Atlanta! I’m so nervous! Haven’t done a ‘con’ since 2014! Got all my books and sharing a table with my creative brother; Al Stewart the creator of the web comic Counter Agents! And(!!!) I’m sitting next to The creator of Dayblack! Keef Cross!
On top of my computer dying a violent and horrific death, six new tires and a new tune up later. I am sick. The Pollen here in Georgia is deadly. I haven’t had a voice for almost two weeks. But I’m writing! Just not on what I wanted. I had planned to finish Gray Spring first, but it’s hard to force the ideas to come out. The Amulet is flowing nicely and an actual ending to it is truly in sight, so I’ll continue it for the time being. The problem is that money? For the editing? I’m gonna have to come up with something quick and that’s depressing. I got the idea of posting it as a serial, maybe. One chapter each week … still haven’t decided, but that’s if the money doesn’t come through. I’m looking forward to seeing this finally coming to an end, but nervous about everything else. We’ll see ….
I finally jumped in and decided to give Fiverr a chance. They said a lot of good things about some of the artists and of course there were the bad things. But I was blessed and chose a really nice and easy to talk to artist concerning my concept for Wonderlost. She has done a gorgeous first sketch. Better than I imagined. Can’t wait for the touch ups and then color! I will still go to my brother first for my covers, but I know where to go when he’s a little busy. Can’t show y’all yet, but she’s working faster than I thought she would.
